Durozone damper motors troubleshooting

When are my dampers closed, when the arm is all the way up and should they close when the furnace shuts down.

I need a replacement spring for my durozone 7" fresh air damper . I cannot find one anywhere. The damper is normally open so when the spring breaks the air comes in all day long.It is getting pretty cold in the basement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would hate to have to buy a new one....
