First we need to know where you are. Each state has their own local laws. Second, who did you relinquish your rights to? What rights did you relinquish? If all you did was give up visitation of your child then you go back to court to ask for visitation to be reestablished because of better circumstances. Though it is possible that it will start minimal and increase after you prove yourself to the court.

If you signed off on adoption papers so that a step parent (or another family) could adopt your child/ren then there really isn't anything you can do. In that case you are no longer the legal parent the adoptive parent(s) are the legal parents.

If you want better answers than a guess at what is going on in your situation we will need more information to go off.

Only a court can terminate parental rights. And courts are very reluctant to do so. So it is unlikely that your rights were truly terminated.

For us to help you, we need more details. Besides the things stina mentioned we need to know where your child is now and who has custody

I agree, was this done formally though court ? Or did you merely sign something informal or just allow chld to go live somewhere.
