    Outdoor drain blocked
    Hi,

Does anyone have any tips for unlocking an outdoor drain? I've tried a rod and plunger but the blockage is in a horizontal section about 6 inches down and I can't get the rod to bend enough. I've also tried a bottle of drain un blocker but that didn't me any difference. Thanks in advance.

You are using a rod and a plunger. Try using a power snake. The size of the snake will depend upon the size and the drain. Good luck, Tom

Is this a downspout extension? Do you know where it is supposed to empty into?
I used a power auger as speedball suggested to you on mine, and found that the pipe ended a short distance out into my yard. If you have had excessive rain or melting snow, you may have exceeded the capacity of the drain, it could simply be storing the water and not even have a "daylighted" outlet.
Can you provide any more details?
