    X boyfriend wants the car he bought for me back
    my now x boyfriend gave me a car and now wants it back I have a text saying "The jeep is yours no strings attached I will send you the paper work so you can register it in your name" he paid $2500 for it I lived with him and left with only y clothing and the Jeep he said take it I bought it for you let me know your new address so I can send you the papers you need to put it in your name. Help me please I have nothing I need this car to get back and forth to work

    Did you register it in your name? If its still in his name, then it belongs to him. You can try suing him for the papers so you can register it.

    I agree, you should have gotten the papers in your name if he "gave it to you", if it is in his name, it is his jeep, not your jeep.

    It does not matter what you left with, what did you come with ? Obviously not the jeep. When you leave, you leave with what is YOURS. The jeep at this point is his, guess you should have gotten title in your name before you left.
