    Identifying Artist Signatures on oil painting
    I need ti find the name of an artist on an oil painting on canvas that starts with S C or could be an Lappears to be 5 letters in the second name the last name looks like it starts with a'Tru 0r w then in a single line with "at the end

    Artist name on oil painting is hard to define. S C or could be L enna "tru------" oil on canvas very ornate frame gold with roses in corners

    Pictures would help, but even then it would next to impossible. Too many paintings out there. Your only hope would be to find someone that's familiar with your piece, and the artist. You'd have better luck finding a needle in a haystack, at least online.

    I'd suggest finding a reputable art dealer in your area. There's very little chance of finding answers online, unless you just happen to meet a very specific person that has very specific knowledge about your specific piece.
