A SUB PANEL FROM A SUB PANEL
I have a 200 amp service with a 100 amp sub panel.
I have a shed 150 ft. away and want to run a 60 amp panel
With a MAIN BREAKER and a GROUND BAR in it from the 100 amp sub panel.
I’m running 2 ½” conduit in the event I need to upgrade or pull an extra cable in the future.
I'm looking at running 4 overhead LED lights and 2 circuits for wall receptacles.
These will be used to charge batteries for tools; vehicles and other AC tools (Table Saw, Drill Press and other AC tools).
Can 240 be used for these tools?
Is this acceptable?
What size wire do I run?
What size Ground Wire?
Is it possible to supply a drawing or schematic?

1) you are required to provide an outside light at the entry door.

2) At 150', 240 Volt, 60 Amp will require a #4 AWG copper conductor.

3) A four wire cable is required (2 hot, Neutral, ground)

4) 240 volts to the panelboard can be split out into 120 volt branch circuits

5) Most tools that you described will be 120 volt tools.

6) You must have an independent ground system at the shed.

7) Neutral and ground must be isolated from each other on the panelboard1
