Weird noises from block of flats
    Hi

I live in the top floor flat of a converted house. It's 2 houses - 5 flats in each - and the to houses are joined together. A few days ago a weird noise started up. 2 short bursts (sounds like 2 short bursts of drilling). It happens every 5 minutes like clockwork... 24/7! At first we all thought someone was drilling at stupid o'clock in the morning, but we soon realised it's not. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? It sounds fairly distant but the whole block can hear the /noise/vibration!

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

    John
