    I feel a lump in my throat when I lie down and it sort of constricts my breathing.
    When I lay down I feel a lump in my throat and it feels as though my breathing is being constricted. Could this possibly be allergies?

    It could be. It could also be a tumor, phlegm, and many other things.

    Best to get checked by a doctor for a real diagnosis.
