    Does being cooperative really help when arrested for a dui?I was told it would .
    Does cooperation with police REALLY go a long way with the judge in court for 1st offense dui or do officers just say that?

    Cooperative in what way? One should NEVER talk to police (except maybe as a witness) without an attorney present. One should listen to their attorney in court not the police.

    From a COPS perspective, cooperating means you SNITCHED on yourself or somebody else.. It does NOT mean you were polite. In fact, if you attempted to take advantage of your civil rights, even if done in VERY politely, the cops would call you UNCOOPERATIVE.

    I HATE cops.
