    all on one breaker
    Is it normal to have your kitchen stove, water heater and Clothes dryer all on one double breaker?

    Normal? Not even imaginable. Can't see how you could get them to run without tripping breaker.

    That is what I thought but the guy my land lord had do it said it was fine and the reason I keep tripping breakers is that the apartment was struck by lightning and it cased a problem with the dryer.

    Typical slumlord using a typical hack handyman for electrical work.

    I'd definitely move if that's an option. If not, call the building department and explain things. I'm sure they'd be very interested.

    Curious the size of the Breaker?
    Electric Ranges are 40 or 50 Amps most common.
    Electric Dryers are Usually 30 Amps, and a wall AC, 20 or 30 Amps.
    Central Air, even more.
