Washing machine needs to pump water upwards
I have a liberty drain pump model 404 n have that attached to my washing machine to pump water up to ceiling n into another drain line as I do not have slop sink. Does the drain hose from the wash machine have to be positioned any special way? Does it need to be above the water outlets that are on the wash machine

    Hi Deb

Mount the pump so that the hose attaches into it at a height that is about even with the top of the washing machine. If you were to mount the pump/hose much lower it could cause the washing machine to drain every time the washing machine attempts to fill.

If you wanted to mount the pump on the floor, you could also extend the washing machine hose and then loop the washing machine hose up higher than the top of the washing machine and then run it down and connect it to the pump...that would work, too!
