Master Problem with Kitchen Clogged Drain
I’ve used every name brand out there to try and solve my drain clog, unfortunately not even the expensive acids prove to work. The water flows out eventually, but the wait is a killer. I’ve also tried snaking the line but nothing. I’ve even tried pressure busting the line (hooking up the water hose directly to the drain pipe) but the water flows up to the vent and flows over the roof! Are there any other suggestions out there?

Have you tried snaking down the sink vent? If not, and it is safe to get up on your roof, I would try that.

Otherwise, snake the drain again, only this time rent an electric hand-held snake with a DROP HEAD on it (see images below)...forces the cable to go down the drain instead of up the vent.

Snake the drain a number of times... in/out and run hot water in between to flush the pipes. Once the drain line is unclogged, fill the sink(s) with hot water to the rim and then release the water for a final flush that should set you up for a long-term solution to the problem!

    Good luck!
