    Wall Outlet
Old wall receptacle is not working. Multi Meter shows 115-117 on top
Bottom you have to move the probes around to get a reading of 115.

Do you think there is something wrong with receptacle itself.

How old? If it is very old, the little springs that make contact with the prongs of the plug have probably lost their "spring".
    Replace, cost fifty cents.

    Good morning Pastor.

A 30 year old receptacle? Is it a 3 prong receptacle? I would recommend replacing the receptacle after you turn the power off to the circuit.

While doing that, carefully inspect the wires. Look for any charring or discolored wires, cracked insulation or failed wires.
