Lost pressure on new pressure tank
I installed a new pressure tank that worked fine the first day. Then when I came home the next day I checked for leaks and noticed the tank had lots of water but my pressure gauge was showing near 30 psi (30-50 switch). Now I have lost all air from the bladder. Has my pressure tank blown its bladder or should I start from the beginning and recharge the tank after removing all the water?

Read pressure gauge. Open faucet until pressure drops to 30# and pump comes on. Pump should go off at 50#. If you have ruptured bladder or if you have lost pre-charge, the pressure will drop and rise very quickly. With pressure a 50, press valve stem. If you get water you have ruptured bladder. If you get air or nothing you have lost pre-charge air. You did check pre-charge during installation didn't you.

If you have lost pre-charge but do not have ruptured bladder, it is quite likely you have a leaking valve stem needle. Tighten or if necessary replace.
