Hello. I need some help what to do and what should I wait. I'm in us since 2005 came by J 1 visa. In 2011 married on us citizen at this time I didn't have legal status, my marriage was by love that time I didn't even think about obtain a legal status, but life without documents difficult. After almost a year our attorney sent application to USCIS for adjust of status and already on march 27 2012 we had an interview at local USCIS office. The interview was fine , but 1 document was missing ( marriage certificate) The IO said us to bring it and after your case will be complete. He was very nice even shake my hand at the end. Our attorney after interview said that we OK and nothing to worry. The marriage certificate was received USCIS on time . I was waiting and waiting NOVEMBER 13 I made request by calling general USCIS number and on NOVEMBER 28 I received an e-mail: " We received your request for information regarding the status of your I-485 application and found that it remains under examination. USCIS will notify you as soon as possible if any further information is needed from you, or when a decision has been made." After 3 months I made another request and the answer was: " Our records indicate we have received your response to the Request for Evidence. You should receive a decision within the next 60 days." After 60 days even 90 days I didn't receive anything . I schedule an info pass appointment and they still didn't say anything:" We received all documents, the IO will take a look on them" On June 28 I received notice of second FP, some one said to me that USCIS updating FP every 15 months, next day I went to the office. By this time my wife left me and start live on different address at her friend house. She doesn't want to talk to me anymore . I think she has started dating someone else. I got big depression and now I don't know what even happen to my case. Its still pending and I still didn't receive conditional GC, its over 16 months since we had an interview. I need suggestion what to do. Am I will be face to deportation? What can happen? In advance thanks.
