Lenox model 5802L 43783 pump buzzes but will not turn the fan.
I have checked the breakers and reset them. Ihave checked the 50 amp fuses for both blowers. Both OK. 1 blower comes on and blows cold upstairs fine. The other blower only buzzes lightly when the thermostst is set cold enough to turn it on. There is no red reset button inside the blower pannel. The blower appears to be free of debri and spins fine when blown with a hose. I checked the drain pan in the attic for a backup of water or a tripped overflow float and could find no sign of any backup. Any Ideas from anyone?lenox model 5802L 43783

"50 amp fuses for both blowers" What kind of blower are you running that requires a 50 Amp fuse? Are the blowers on a different circuit than the AC compressor? My 4 ton unit only has 30 Amp breakers.

Blower motor buzzes, won't turn fan [ 1 Answers ]

I have York forced-air furnace, about 17 years old. When I turn the system on, the blower motor makes a buzzing noise, but doesn't turn the fan. I can get it started by removing the cover, giving the fan a spin, replacing the cover, then turning the unit on. It works fine this way. I've looked at...
