    42" 18.5 hp craftsman rider
I have a rider that just started to blow white smoke and stop when I engage the blade lever. I checked the oil level and it is clean, fuel is fresh hi -test. Battery is full charged, just installed a new belt for the blades. Please advise what I should look for.
Thank you kindly for any advise.

    Hi,
Is the white smoke oil or the new belt being burned off from incorrect installation or a seized component?
You did not give the model number, so I will just post a fairly generic picture of a 42" EHP deck.
    Peace,
