    Hi Reggie

    Does your water heater have an open combustion chamber (can reach inside if you remove the front access door) or a closed combustion chamber (remove access door and there is another door with a glass window in it)?

    Mark, It has an open combustion chamber, however it has an inner and outer metal door which can be removed to light the pilot.

    Click on this video... should show you how to change out the thermocouple pretty quickly:



    Be sure to shut off the gas before starting the job... ;)
