How to install thermocouple in a Ruud water heater?

Does your water heater have an open combustion chamber (can reach inside if you remove the front access door) or a closed combustion chamber (remove access door and there is another door with a glass window in it)?

Mark, It has an open combustion chamber, however it has an inner and outer metal door which can be removed to light the pilot.
