My best friend and fiancé hate each other. I've been with my fiancé 7 months. I know we rushed things but I really do love him. Whenever I mention my friend he goes funny with me, normally ends up in a argument. I haven't seen my best friend in 3 months which is a long time for me.

I wanted to stay at another friends house for a girly night in, and my best friend will be there. I asked my fiancé if he's OK with me going, he isn't. We ended up arguing the whole day. He is still being funny with me today at times. I love him so much but I love my best friend too. I don't want to hurt any of their feelings. What do I do?

Knowing your friend would be at this get-together, why did you ask for permission to go to it in the first place (we have to ask our boyfriends for permission to do stuff?) and then turn up the heat by mentioning that your friend will be there? Seems like you cut off your nose to spite your face. You were looking for a fight?

Ok, maybe that's a little extreme but here's what I went through many years ago...
My girlfriend didn't get along with my friends. Over time I distanced myself from them to the point that I never saw any of them anymore. Well, we got married, she turned out to be a mistake... so where was I? I had a mistake for a spouse (though I managed to convince myself I loved her so much) and no friends. When I finally got smart and got rid of her, it took me a long time to get my friends back.

Years later I met someone else that told me she didn't like certain friends and I needed to stop talking to these people. I told her no. I told her I'm not giving up people for anyone. Well, when that relationship finally ended, I still had my friends and didn't have to apologize for choosing someone over them.

Bottom line... never let someone force you to choose.

I think this is more than about a friend you haven't seen in 3 months. I think there is much more to learn about the fiancé after only 7 months. A lot more. Or maybe you are still blinded by the love glitter and are missing something.
