    Yellow teeth with brown gums
I really need some help. Okay so my teeth are yellow and my bottom gums are brown. My parents won't let me go to the dentist saying, "Its expensive" or "Its a waste of time". But I really don't like the way the inside of my mouth look. I can't even smile showing my teeth or talk without feeling embarrass. Also, my breath seem to stink quicker than others (but I always take mint or chew gum so no on ewill notice). Is there a way for me to "fix" my teeth at home?

Have you ever been to a dentist? Do you brush your teeth twice a day? Do you have cavities?

I never been to the dentist and I'm pretty sure I have cavities (at least that's what my mother say).

Do you brush your teeth twice a day? Do you eat sugary stuff and lots of carbs (bread, cake, cookies, etc.)?

I do brush twice a day, I eat sugary stuff but not that much anymore, and I eat carbs sometimes but not all the time.

Since you have had no dental care at all, yes, it would be expensive at the age of 15 for x-rays and filings. At least get a cleaning and exam.

Do you have pain? Can you see rotted teeth?

You can buy whitening strips and whitening toothpaste at the drugstore, but that will not solve your cavity problems.

I don't feel any pain or see anything rotten

I have whitening toothpaste but it seems everyone (in my family) is against whitening strips because it weakens the enamel or something.

Why does your mother think you have rotten teeth?

I don't think that is true, as long as you aren't using them every day. Or brush with baking soda. That's a whitener.

Baking soda is a slight abrasive, cheaper then strips and better for your mouth. Dab your toothbrush in baking soda after putting the toothpaste on. Done pastes already have baking soda in them.
