Form 8843, unpaid internship last year
    Hi,

I did an unpaid internship last year in the US. Now I have a few questions about filling out form 8843:
    - do I fill out the "Address in the US" (I returned to my home country in March 2005, should I fill in my address during the internship)
    - what do I write at "current nonimmigrant status" (see further information below)
    - as an intern, I fill out part 2 (teachers and trainees); at number 5 and 6 ("enter the name,... of the academic institution you attended"): do I enter my employer or the organization that issued the DS-2019

Some further information about me (in case you need them to answer):
I have a SSN, entered the US on 29 Dec 2005 and did an internship until March (intern started in Jan), the J1 visa expired in March and I didn't visit the US since then but I have a B1/B2 visa in my passport

In addition I were already as a High School student in the US in 00/01 (J-1 visa): So I fill in a J for 2000 and 2001 at number 7 ("US visa you held...") and mark "yes" at number 8 ("present in the US as ... student for any part of 2 of the 6 prior years").
But I still want to exclude days of presence so (according to the exception on page 3) I have to"attach information to verify that a foreign empoyer paid all compensation in 2006 and all prior years".
Since I didn't get paid, what should I attach for my High School year and the internship? Would be the application forms for the visas be OK? (They show that the 00/01 was a High School visit and that the intern was unpaid is shown on the application papers for the DS-2019)

Thanks in advance for your answers

This is really not a tax question, but a legal question.

Please post this in the law forum under IMMIGRATION.
