    Form 8843
    Hi,
I'm on a F1 Visa and I didn't file the form 8843 for 2004 thinking I shouldn't do anything since I had no income. Is there anyway I can rectify this.
    Please help me.

    Thanks
    Lokesh.

    Lokesh:

If you have left the United States, don't worry about it.

If not, file the 8843 for 2005. If you feel ambitious, you can mail the 2004 version of Form 8843 as well, but it really is not necessary,

    Thanks Tax Expert!
It was really helpful .I think I will just file the Form 8843 for 2004 so that I won't be having any problems if I have apply for permanent residence later.
    What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Lokesh

It will complete the record, and if you makes you feel better about the application process, then file it.
