    Water standing in sewer vent
I have standing water in my sewer vent. When the toilet flushes in girggles and never swirls to take in all down. I have tried running a snake down the vent all the way to the main sewer line, and had no success. What other options do I have?

You didn't put out enough snake. Put out enough snake to breach the base and 16 feet more. Let me know how you make out. Good luck, Tom

Pulled out 50' foot of snake. Enough to reach the main sewer line. Any thing else that could be clogging the vent?

I have had two plumbewrs out here and feel like I am getting fleeced. Last summer they used a power auger to clean out the main line and pulled back many small roots. They claimed they could not go any further when they reached about 70 feet not sure if they reached an obstrcution or something...

I apologize for the long post... Our house is 15 years old, we bought it and moved in 1.5 months ago. Yesterday afternoon, the master bathroom toilet overflowed, and there was a good inch of water in the shower stall (the lowest point in the house). Also in the shower stall was what looked...

Standing water in main sewer line? [ 1 Answers ]

We just had a sewer scope done as a part of the inspection to sell our house. As it turns out around 70 feet out the line drops significantly and has standing water for about 10-15 feet. I replayed the video we had done when we moved in the same conditions existed, they ran a bunch of water...

Standing water in sewer line [ 6 Answers ]

I am selling my home and the buyers had the sewer line scoped. The line was replaced approximately 5 to 7 years ago. The scope indicates some standing water in the line from the clean out for about 15 feet. At that point the water resumes normal flow. I have never had any problems with back up...
