    Stop a writ of execution
    I have a writ of execution at the prothonatary office in greene county pa. The sheriff taged her property items for a sheriff sale. They paid me. I wanted to drop it, but the prothonatary office said I have to send a praecipe of satisfaction to the office. Not sure what to write of form to use.

    Goodness. I wonder how many states have a prothonotary.
    I can't find a form for 'satisfaction' for a sheriff's sale on the site for forms Forms Center @ The Philadelphia Courts - First Judicial District of Pennsylvania
    Can't you just not cash the check?
