Fathers child does not have his last name and wants his child to have his last name
I was wondering if there's anything I can do to have my child have my last name . I had a daughter at the age of 19 and my child's mother and I were living together and agreed to have my child have my last name but when the day came and she gave birth she lied to me so my child does not have my last name and Also I am not on the birth certificate her mother does not allow me to see her I haven't seen my daughter for a year now and haven't bothered to see her because her mother deceived me and lied to me and would like to have my rights and my child to obtain my last name

First, ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

You have to go to court to establish your rights. You need to have paternity established and have the court set a visitation schedule. You may NOT be able to do anything about the name, because the mother had the right to name the child whatever she wanted. But you certainly can establish yourself as the father and have visitation.

I do have to comment on the above quote. Whatever your relationship with the mother is, that is NO excuse for ignoring your child. The child is innocent here and whatever your feeling about the mother, they need to be put aside for the child's sake. And that goes for the mother as well.
