Kenmore elite heavy duty king size quiete pak ii 11023032102 transmission
My washer sometimes does not spin, however if I give it a manual spin by hand it will start spinning. I can stop the spin by hand if it hasn't reached top speed. What would cause this?

I have a 5 year old kenmore 90 series quiet pak 1 heavy duty dryer that occasionally fires up (which I can see) but more often than not is not firing. A slight grinding sound can be heard at the moment of failure to fire, and one can see at this point a little glowing at bottom. Thank you
How do you remove the top section of the agitator, my washer works fine on small loads but the top screw section sounds like it's striped with large loads. Does not agitate. Is it possible to remove just the top part and replace any broken internal parts?
