My husband and I are actively trying for our second baby, when I was pregnant with my first baby I had implantation bleeding that arrived more or less when my period was due, but only lasted one day and was very light, light enough to just wear a liner.

At the moment, I was nine days late for my period when I noticed a little bit of blood when I wiped, it was pinkish in colour. I'm not currently on day 4 of this, I have been wearing a liner and there has been the tiniest amount of blood each day which has appeared very dark in colour, but when I wipe there seems to be a lot of pinkish to light red blood. I usually bleed for 5 days with 3 of those being very heavy and requiring frequent changes so I was wondering whether this could be implantation bleeding or whether implantation bleeding wouldn't last this long?

There is a huge debate about implantation bleeding and whether it actually exists. Since there's not enough information out there on implantation bleeding, there's really no way to tell you if that's what you're experiencing.

You'll have to wait and test.
