    Abandonment
    My ex went to rehab and I had my daughter come stay with me. It's been about 4 months now and still no word from my ex she still has legal custody of my daughter. Is there any way I can file abandonment on her. I live in Texas

    What would your purpose in "filing abandonment on her" be?

    You can always file for custody and prove that the child is safer living with you.
