    Parvo tested
Our 4month old puppy threw up a couple of times and wouldn't eat the rest of the day. He was really sluggishso we took him to the vet. He tested positive for the virus. He does not have a fever, is no longer vomitting, wants to eat and has even played outside. He has only had 2 runny bowel movements but no odor or blood. Could the test have been wrong? Could he be on the mend?

False positives CAN occasionally happen if the puppy was recently vaccinated.
However, we often see Parvo positives in the early stages of the disease, and it takes a few days for them to really go downhill. Please keep an eye on your pup and have it admitted for hospitalization if anything gets worse.
