    Toilet backup
I bought a 50 ft. snake and snaked the drain, that worked to get rid of the standing water in the toilet. Now, two weeks later, it's doing it all over again. Snaked it again, water went down (after having two inches of water on my bathroom floor) but it's back again! What the heck do I do? Does it have something to do with the vents on my roof? If so, which one cause there's two up there! Please help me!!

Could very well be debrie or even roots from tree blocking the main sewer line under home.

So does it have anything to do with the vents?
We've tried a 50 foot snake, and it went all the way in, all 50 feet, that worked the first time, now it's backing up again

Sewer blockage can run even further than that I have seen it be blocked where it connects under a street. Best thing to do is call in professional sewer company. You can do the vents to eliminate it but I truly feel the problem lies in the sewer pipes

As Tinsign has pointed out, you could have a root problem. Let's do a little anaylising. Open up the house cleanout located just outside the foundation and flush the toilet. Did water back up or did you feel a puff of air coming out of the opening? Let me know. Regards, Tom
