I am a 11 year old with constant chest and lung pain
Hi. My name is abby and I need a little help. OK. Screw that I need a LOT of help. My chest and heart pound pretty fast and the pain comes in flashes, and I'm not sure if it was tied to my father and mother both having severe cancer. My mother had thyroid cancer, and is a survivor, but my father had a brain tumor and died sadly, when I was young. It hurts to sneeze or yawn, but that is probobly because I got my tonsils out 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. Could somebody tell me if I need to see a doctor? Thanks for your help.

Do you have an appointment with the doctor who did your surgery to check on you?

Call the doctor. Hard to believe you don't see the doctor sooner.

Yes, I know, but I am seeing Dr. McKenna if anyone is familiar. He is world renowned and has worked on ozzy ozbourne, The Frey, Hey Ocean, Lincoln park, stevie wonders, etc. But over 10 people see him a day, and we got the LATEST opening, my mother had the same thing as a child, but it hurts so much I cry for hours on end, and she never cried, BTW both my parents had cancer and my father died form a brain tumor. I also have severe sleep Apnea. I got my tonsils removed for that reason. Thanks :)

Abby, I've never heard of that doctor, but I'm in the US.

We can't legally tell you how to take care of your situation other than to tell you to tell your mother and get you into a doctor as soon as possible.

All right thank you and I appreciate the help A lot, but could you recommend a pain medication for me? I Will be 11 on 2/27/2013 and I currently weigh 110, and No, I'm not fat. The extra weight comes from my bones, and that is NOT a cop out. We did a scan and my bones have this shelly-thing around it, I don't know, but thank you! :)

I'm sorry, but it would be dangerous for us to recommend a pain killer to a 10 year old.

You need to talk to your mother about this. There is nothing this website can do to help you other than that.

Ok, I visited my after-operation doctor because I had my tonsils taken out 2 and 1/2 weeks ago, so she said I could take an adult dose considering my weight. I trust my step father a lot so could he give me anything legally? I resume school tomorrow, but if I start to spasm, ill need to either go to the ER or go home, which I can't go home, because my step father CANNOT leave work WHATSOEVER. Its sad, I know. But we have a nanny, but nvr mind she is a teacher. I took 1 of the small red ibeprophen, did not help at all. Sorry :(

Go see a registered health professional. Physical or maybe mental. That is the last you're going to hear from us here. We can't diagnose over the internet. Not enough info nor enough knowledge to decipher what it all means and give you anything accurate. You try telling me why my foot hurts.

Secondly, telling a minor what to do is doubly dangerous. The liability... could get me sent to jail, or fined a lot! It is up to your parents or your doctor. They're the point of contact here.

    Understand?

You are being extremely rude. Someone is supposed to be taking care of you. Last night, you had no appointment for a doctor and within a few minutes you suddenly went and came home. Go back and check your times on your posts. Maybe you're on winter break. If so, find something useful to do and if you can't, ask your parent.

I didn't go to a doctor! I was lying on my couch crying! I have had an extremely rough day and I can't do this anymore! My father is DEAD! My mother is far away! My step father works all the time! SO, unless you can raise my father from the dead I am sorry but I have no reason to be cyber bullied because I need help, which I appreciated, but hate THIS!! Please, if you won't help me, leave me alone!
