Hi sounds like a air lock ,easy to sort if you are handy, you need a hose pipe connected to main supply , then connect to the tap that's not working have someone watch and hold this pipe because the pressure will push the air out , do this for about 10 seconds ,then WALLA

Hi Maroll
Please do NOT listen to Jazzas as he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about, OK? And Jazzas, with answers like you gave, you probably shouldn't be posting on the plumbing page as we will jump all over any incorrect or silly/inappropriate answers here, OK?
Maroll, you replaced the cold shutoff and the flexible supply line to the sink, but have hot water flowing just fine? If so, then the first thing to check is to disconnect the new supply line (shut water at the new shutoff first) and dirst the supply tube into a bucket and turn the water back on. If water flows well then the issue is up in the faucet and you will need to disassemble the cold water side of the faucet and clear of debris/sediment. If water doesn't flow then the issue is at the shutoff and you will need to shut off the water main and disassemble the shutoff itself to see if you can find the issue!
Check these things and let us know what you find, OK?
Mark
PS: There is no such thing as "air lock" in water piping. You can have air in the lines, but only need to open a faucet to dsiplace that air with water (be sure to remove the aerator so it doesn't get plugged up)!

Thanks I will check that out. My first thought was it could be the faucet. I knew there wasn't any such thing as an air lock because first I've not heard of it and second it doesn't make sense. I'm not sure of what answers you think I posted I'm the one asking the question. Correct me if I am wrong but this site is for posting questions in hopes of getting ideas from others so my posting of the plumbing question should not be an issue.

Hot water works but no cold water on single handle faucet
[ 1 Answers ]
I have a single handle faucet in my bathroom. When I swing the handle to the cold side nothing come out. The hot side works fine. I tried to see if the cold line was clogged. After loosening the nut at the bottom of the line (near the cold water valve), I found it difficult to dislodge the line....
