I cheated on my boyfriend years ago. I have no excuses for what I've done and I feel ashame about it. We broke up for nearly a year for other reasons. I thought I could hide it and not tell him but someone told him and he confronted me. I had no choice but to tell the truth cause I didn't want to lose him. I since the incident changed. I am no longer the same person. I told him countless time that I will never do it again. How can I gain his trust back since I am now having his child?

You might not be able to regain his trust because he found out by someone other than you and I have seen this happen a lot with couples, if you do stay together he may hold it over your head and throw it in your face any chance he gets which will in turn create a verbally abusive relationship. Hopefully he appreciates your honesty and can look past the mistake you made and maybe consider the big picture.

You have to ask him what you can do. If he wants to know more about it, you need to answer his questions. If he needs to be angry, you need to accept and validate that he has the right to be angry. You need to find out from him what you need. He may not trust you for a while, and you need to accept that you violated his trust and that you are going to have to be patient with him while he gets over this.
