Child neglect?
I received a notice to appear for Feb for a day after they said my court date for the same case was Feb 15. It's because I violated my PTI twice in one week so they sent my case back to the docket. The letter said I was going to felony jury trial? What's the max sentence for this charge and what will they mostly likely sentence me too. I have a small record but its for little things such as theft, drugs/alcohol, hit and run or parking tickets.

Someone asked me to babysit, I said yes. On the way to her house we picked up my ex who we found out when we got there that he was extremely intoxicated. After we were at her house for a little bit she left to her boyfriends 5 minutes from the house. He started coming onto me and wouldn't take no for an answer so I texted my friend(not the mom) to come. When she arrived I stepped outside next to her car to called and texted the mother. I explained the situation to her and asked if I could take the kids with me and leave my ex there but she said it wasn't a good idea so I asked if she could come home and help me. She said she had no gas. I forget who brought it up but she approved the kids being with my ex. She said it was okay as long as he's awake. I couldn't call the cops because she does drugs so I didn't want to end up in jail for her drug habbits. I ended up leaving cause she was supposed to be back a few hours later but I received a call from the police saying I had to come to the station to make a statement and one of the kids was there with my ex and his sister. The cribs were right next to each other but they left the baby at the house. They asked who was the mom and her number I gave it to them and she suddenly had enough gas to make it to the police station. A week later I was arrested for child neglect 0 great harm in the 3rd degree. I was put on pti but 6 months later violated 3 days apart.

You need a lawyer. When you agree to take responsibility for children, that's a serious thing. You should have not stopped to pick up your ex and if you did, when it appeared he was intoxicated, you should have left him where he was and definitely not brought him into contact with the children.
Then your leaving them with the ex still there (not clear whether his sister was there when you left) was unconscionable and you should have been arrested.
Its not clear whether you were convicted or just put on probation pending a trail. You need to make sure of your trial dates and make sure you have an attorney representing you.

In my area (NY) hit and run is not a "small charge."
Scott doesn't need me to agree with him - but I do.

In my area of NY (for that matter) none of these - theft, drugs/alcohol, hit or run - are "little things."
If the question is about the hit and run charge I see nothing more posted.

Uhm I'm from up there and yes it is. It's a petty charge when it was a parked car that you hit. I was arrested a week later for the child neglect but she approved me leaving the kids with my ex and I asked her to come home and she said she had no gas but she had enough to get to the police station.
