How to I track old stock purchases made by my dad in the 90's?
My dad purchased several single stocks with the intent of giving them to grandchildren. A few were kept at the Bank of Boston, which I think is now Bank of America. He is no longer able manage his finances, and I am not sure what, if any, of these stocks he still owns. How can I even begin to investigate?

The reason I am asking is I am trying to find out the ROI, and I am not sure which value to use as my initial investment. I think it should be the preffered dividend, which is $2.00 per share, but confirmation on this guess would be nice :) Thank you!
