Replacing Trane Thermostats Weathertron with Trane TZ45
I am replacing 4 thermostats, all Trane Weathertron BayStation240A, that handle 2 heat pumps and 2 air handlers. All wiring is run through an Arzel Technologies unit 1203UPS.
I am replacing all thermostats with a new trane TZ45 with zwave technology.
My question is: The old stat has 8 wires to include a T terminal.
The best info I can find labelled this as an outdoor temp sensor tied to an outdoor anticipator with reference to a thermister. The new stat has no place for the T connection. I have not been able to find a definitive answer on to whether this connection is needed.
