    Principles-based regulation vs raditional, more formal approaches to regulation
    Could someone please direct me to some good literature regarding this topic. I decided to take an economics course for extra credit, but I have no clue in regards to this topic.

    The question I am addressing is: in view of recent experience in the financial markets, evaluate the view that principle-based regulation would be more effective than traditional, more formal approaches to the regulation of financial markets in the UK.

    Please, how am I supposed to start the introduction of this? I'd really appreciate any pointers.
