    Installation laminate flooring over parquet
I was told not to lay laminate over parquet because if there was a burst water pipe or water spillage it would ruin the flooring. Can you please confirm-Thanks

Even if you removed the parquet floor and installed the laminate flooring and you had a flood it would get ruined.

Better to remove. Otherwise you can get noise and a very thick floor tthat can interfere with food openings and trim.
