    Installation laminate flooring over parquet
I was told not to lay laminate over parquet because if there was a burst water pipe or water spillage it would ruin the flooring. Can you please confirm-Thanks

Even if you removed the parquet floor and installed the laminate flooring and you had a flood it would get ruined.

    Installing laminate over parquet flooring
What are the pros and cons of installing laminate over a parquet floor.
Is it overall a better solution to remove the parquet?
What preparation should I do if I was to intall the laminate over parquet.

    Thanks

Better to remove. Otherwise you can get noise and a very thick floor tthat can interfere with food openings and trim.

Thank you for your reply. Have you any recommendations for removing the parquet and preparing the floor?
