    Wage Garnishment
May I make a payment arrangement to the collection agency and therefore have a garnishment removed from my paycheck? I would be happy to pay the entire amount, but just have it drafted from my bank account or make a monthly payment.

My employer is very upset that I have a garnishment, and I am worried about losing my job.

I doubt after a judgement anyone would take a lower payment unless you went back through the court and asked for a lower payment.

You can surely try to negotiate with the creditor. However, an employer cannot terminate employment because of a garnishment.

I know that the employer is not supposed to terminate due to a garnishment, but...

I will contact the creditor on my way home from work and hope to set up a payment. Thanks.
