    Addicted to Food..
    Growing up, my family set an example of careless eating, and often rewarded me with food. I used food as comfort and it became my friend and enemy.

    I was bullied for being overweight until it reached the point of physical abuse. I dropped out of public school in 8th grade.

    In 2011 I went from over 200 lbs. to 99 lbs. I'm 5'6". It took a lot of self-hatred to starve myself and abuse supplements.

    Now I'm about 140 lbs. and I need to lose some weight but I'm caught in the middle.

    One day I detest food, I starve and feel good about myself. The next day I lose control and could eat over 2000 calories.

    I don't know what to do. I don't have money for therapy, and I'm struggling with my body every day. I don't like the way I look, it needs to change, but I'm really stuck.

    Stop worrying about your looks and work on a healthy eating schedule and exercise. You may have learned bad habits but you can change them in time and cope with stresses and worry in more positive ways.

    Share your concerns when you have a check up with your family doctor.
