Addicted to Food
Hi there,
Many of you here know me, and my endless fat plight. I've asked numerous questions about losing weight. I was 120lbs at 5'3" until I was 21, then I started to go downhill. And now two years later, I'm 170. It's ridiculous. I honestly feel that I am addicted to food. It's the first thing that I think of when waking up, and the last thing before going to bed. I've tracked myself, and usually consume around 4000 calories per day.
How do I find out IF I do indeed have an addiction to food? How do I fix it?

I have thyroid disease.Sometimes I am hyperthyroid and sometimes hypothyroid. When in the hyper stage I can't get enough to eat.My blood sugar drops and it makes me really hungry.
I am too skinny. The point is maybe its low blood sugar.

I think I was 15 the last time that I went to the doctor. I can't afford it these days.

There are public clinics and sliding-fee scales. I'm sure that you know about those things. I haven't been to my doctor in a number of years either.
How about making some different choices as far as what you're eating?

I understand that, but I CAN'T. I plan out diets, I attack them for a day or two and then I start sneaking food, or thinking that some things don't count. Eventually its back to the same old same old. If I'm awake I'm usually either eating or thinking about eating.
