Older Gas Furnace does not light
I have a Magic Chef furnace - Model EG6A100D-7. The igniter will light, but the gas doesn't flow so the furnace doesn't start.
I have "discovered" two methods to cause the furnace to start. #1 - remove the front plate and blow gently on the igniter, this will cause the gas to flow and the furnace to start. #2 - turn the digital thermostat from "on" to "off" wait approximately 20 seconds, and turn it back, the furnace will start properly and the house will start to get warm. What part do I need to order to correct this issue? Thank you. |

Where do I find the pilot light on a evcon furnace all I see is a on off switch?
I am trying to light the pilot light on my older Maytag dryer. I cannot find any button to push while lighting the light area. All I see are screws, and electrical wire connections. The dryer does not heat and I assume that it is old enough to have a pilot that needs lighting. Thanks
I have an older Payne furnace that won't light. The model shows 80UW36-19X2. It has an electronic ignitor. Worked fine last year but won't light this year. Don't know where to start troubleshooting.
