    Hello purple:

Your lawyer is your legal expert, and he works for YOU. It makes no difference who is paying him - he's YOUR employee. Court appointed doesn't automatically mean "bad" lawyer. It just means that he's going to take the easy way out - if you let him. What you need to do is distinguish his legal opinion from his opinion. Then tell him what to do. He WILL do it. If he doesn't, fire him!

If, when your husband gets back to PA, that attorney is going to be representing him, then do what that attorney asks. Thank your NC attorney for his opinion, but your husband has decided to fight extradition. Tell him to call your PA attorney if he needs an explanation.

Your husband needs to give him the orders, but you can, and certainly should, follow up. Let him know that you expect a call when he has completed the task. It's good that he has you outside to do the legwork. It's a shame that legwork and follow-up NEEDS to be done, but that's another story. The fact is, it does need to be done.

In general while you can fight, if the warrant is valid, and the charges valid, there is nothing that can be really done except to take time and sit in jail till the court ordered him to go anywhere.

He may as well go back and get going on the real case
