    Make a poster with a picture from each month on it to show how much he has grown.

    Whatever you end up doing, remember that it's more for you than it is for him. He won't remember this day. It's a celebration for those that will remember, you, his father, Aunts and Uncles. So don't go all out and spend tons of money trying to make it a special day for him. He really won't remember it.
