14 year old dog. Is it time?
I have a 14 year old yorkie who is now blind and is on fortekor for her kidneys. I am just not sure if she is happy anymore. She wees in her bed all the time and around the house. I have 3 kids ine of which is only 15 months old so try to get to the mishaps before my little one gets to it. I have had to corner her off in my kitchen because if I left het out she would pee that patter it all over the kitchen. Anyway the neighbours have even started complaining as she is barking on and off when I'm at work and she also barks in the early hours. I just don't no what.
Too do. She even pres when ee r in constantly and we put her out all thr time.

Sure, it 'might be time' to put her to sleep. We all have a struggle when this happens; I know I did, and will have to face it again probably in the not too distant future.
I for one would give her the royal treatment next to your bed at night, near you when you are at home awake, and a dogsitter when you are at work, to take her out at least once. She might be barking to go pee! Dogs do have to go much more frequently in old age.
If you do decide to put her down, take vacation time off and coddle her for several days with all sorts of attention and treats. My last dog had cancer and the vet said 'Just give him whatever he wants to eat.' Let her leave this earth with the best love you can give.

There are diapers (more like a sanitary napkin) for older dogs that are incontinent. You might want to look into those.
This is never an easy decision, but it's one you have to make. If she's sickly, in pain, no longer enjoying life, then I would not hesitate to say that it's time. If it's only because she's peeing in the house and you're tired of it, then you may want to sit back and think about it. Are you doing it for her, or for you?
Either way, it's your decision and not one we can make for you. I can only wish you all the best.

Thanks for your comments. I am still undecided as it is just sad to see her bumping into things. I think she is sad ss the barking starts as soon as we go out. And when we r in we always put her put but she still wees in the house and in her bed when we r in. Will probably leave her and see if she gets any worse.

She's a senior dog. Loss of bladder control is normal at this age. There are medications that can help, and doggy diapers (although you could just use a sanitary pad and rig it to work). The peeing issue will likely not change, she's old, and that's part of getting old.
I do know how you feel, I put two of my dogs down in the last year, and it's never an easy decision. You know your dog best. Whatever decision you make will be the right one if it's done out of love.
Not an easy choice, but I know you'll do what's best for her.

Hi-
I am in charge of a memorial garden this year in a organization I am a part of. I am a hard worker, but I have no intense horticultural experience. The garden has not been maintained in the past, and plantings only last about a month. I have to sponsor at least two events to plant, weed, and...
