I need some advice on how to stop being the one that always chases after guys. I do have a bit of a low self esteem and I know that guys are supposed to chase you but I think I chase after them to save myself from getting hurt and to save myself from feeling rejected if they don't text me or make contact.
For example, I met this guy last week, he is lovely and we swapped phone numbers, he started texting me but also I knew that he wanted to come round to my house. I didn't let him though. He text me on Saturday and asked me if I would go round to his house to help him with some stuff which I agreed to (obviously knowing that we were going to hook up) and that was the reason for him wanting me to go round. We did hook up and we fooled around (I did not sleep with him) however since Saturday I have been the one that messages him, he always replies though but hasn't messaged me first. We coach together on a Monday, obviously we kept it very professional at work, we greeted each other and once in a while we looked over and smiled at each other, he flirted a little too. I haven't text him for the past 2 days though and with all my power I am trying to not text him at all. I guess with this one he kind of got what he wanted and now feels no need to text me or speak to me. Is it too late and have I already gone to far with texting him twice in one week? Do you think if I pull back now he will wonder why?

I just want to know how to stop being so needy. I wish I could just sit back and not text or chase after men. Please help me. Any advice would be appreciated.
