My girlfriend still loves her ex
I am in a sticky situation and I feel like I am getting hurt. I have been seeing my Malaysian girlfriend for months now. I am 28 and she is 25. Everything was going great and she was everything I was looking for. We went away on trips together and she was falling for me quite quickly. I began to fall for her too and my emotions got the better of me. I had to go to London for a month for work and we were Skyping and calling every day as well as sending sweet texts to each other etc. Everything was going great. All of a sudden she began to get distant. Less texts etc. I asked her if there was a problem. She just said she was feeling a little sad but wouldn't tell me why... Just short answers such as 'I don't know why I feel this way.' I thought OK maybe she is just having a rough day or something. But it continued to the point where I had to remain persistent and force her to tell me what was wrong.. Was it another guy? Did I do something wrong? She continued to tell me that it was a problem that only she could fix and that it wasn't me. I have heard that all before... Anyway the reason I got from her is this:

2 years prior she was in a serious relationship in which she was about to get married. A wealthy millionaire from Qatar. The reason that she didn't get married was that his family would not allow him to marry her. For whatever reason I don't know... Maybe to protect the assets of the family. So why did these feelings come out of the blue? Because she met one of his friends while on a night out in Kuala Lumpur and he mentioned to her that her ex was asking about her. She told me this on the phone in a very emotional state to the point in which was crying. She explained to me that emotions from the past resurfaced. To be honest I was distraught to know that she had another guy on her mind. She said that she will never be with him and that and that she still likes me but she needs time to process these resurfaced feelings. And that she can't have sex with me for 'a while.' I felt deeply hurt from what I heard. That's when it clicked about why she was attending Arabic lessons when I met her

I am due to return to Kuala Lumpur in a few days time where I will be staying with her. She insists she doesn't want to talk about what had happened. I don't know what to do. I feel really upset about this at the moment and I don't want my heart to get broken nor do I want to lose her. Should I break up with her when I land? I don't want a broken heart. Please help :(
