Okay so my boyfriend and I have been going out for 2 years. About a month ago he broke up with me because he had lot on and didn't have enough time for me and it wasn't fair on me. I didn't understand but was ready to move on until he kept texting me asking me to meet up and when I did meet up with him he said he made a mistake and would I get back with him . Naturally I said I had to think about it . He then starting acting off and not texting me so I assumed he didn't want to get back together anymore so I went out and when a lad tried it on my ex went mad then next couple days we met up and he said he really wanted to get back with me and as I felt the same way I did.

The first two weeks were great he really made an effort. But it got to a stage were I really need reassurance that he wanted to be with me and that he loved me so I said it to him. He said wasn't it reassurance enough that he got back with me . After that he started getting really distant not texting me as much and not wanting to meet up . It got to a stage were if we talked I was the one who initiated the conversation. I said it to him about not texting as much and he said that we've been together 2 years that we don't have to talk to each other 24/7 which I do understand but going days without texting me at all ?He also refuses to change his relationship status back on Facebook as being in a relationship with me. I know its only Facebook but when we broke up he made such an issue when I changed mine saying it didn't feel right so I just don't get why he won't change his back.
He also said to me that I am in the position that he was in last year that he was head over heels for me and I had the control in the relationship and now this year he has the control and he likes it .
I couldn't help it I said it to him d other day about how is distance is pushing me away and he got really mad saying I never let up and I always giving out . But can't he see that he broke up with me ovbousily I need reassurance?. he's now begun to not even texting me at all and if I text him he won't text back ? I don't know what to do I love him but I don't know how long I can put up with this ! And I don't know whether its something I've done has my nagging scared him away ? I just don't understand why he would get back with me just to treat me like this PLEASE HELP :(

This isn't going to be easy but it's time for you to let him go. Essentially, this relationship is over.

One of the main things that tells me so is the fact that he said he now has control in the relationship and he likes it. Who says things like that?

It actually wouldn't surprise me if he was seeing someone else. I suspect that when he broke it off with you for that month that he was trying someone else out. Maybe it didn't completely work so he went back to you. Maybe he's back with her too.now, I don't know.

What I do know is that a relationship like this is no good for you. There is something going on, some kind of game being played. You are better off breaking up with him, and finding someone else. Don't fall for this getting back together with him. If you break up, don't fall for the "please, I will change" thing either. If this is going on as it is after only 2 weeks, there is more going on with him than you can really know... and more than you need to put up with.
